Journalists Face Life and Death Challenges in Juarez

With the drug war in Juarez, journalists have become more fearful and more careful with what they publish. Journalists with the Asociación de Periodistas de Ciudad Juarez will take part in a conference starting today to hear what the public has to say and to discuss issues of coverage.

Journalists in Juarez have been busier than ever in the past days. Every five minutes their cell phones ring with news of more violence. They have become the main witnesses of reality and the main authority in reporting it. However, not everybody agrees with their style or their ethics.
